CLOSING DOWN BUT NOT OUT!

Yeah, I'm not quitting the blog game, just changing things up.  With my professional writing career on the rise, my foundation as well as my fanbase solidifying, I'm finding myself with less and less time to actually write blog posts.

At least from the viewpoint I was able to two years ago.

SO, here's the deal - instead of crafting 12 blog posts three times a week, let's just go to "when I do" status, and combine them into an omni-blog after all?

SO!  This particular blog, on it's own, is closing...but it'll stay here.  For the memories, for the clickbait (pffft), but above all as a reminder to myself where I started from, as a writer and a blogger and worse.

Catch ya when I catch ya!

And time to wrap up some numbers from Comic-Con!

SO! Who's ready for some official numbers, eh?

As some of you know, I went through two months of having my ass kicked in order to build up funds so I can go sell books at Portland City Comic-Con. With the help of Cutie Bytes and another vendor (MEEEEEL, wasn't it Pixel Art Productions?), I learned a lot and had a blast selling books.

The only problem is, how many books did I sell?

First and foremost, there's the problem with initial inventory. While I did order a specific number of books, I also brought up extra inventory as well as a few mistakes.
Well, I started off with this, 100 books in an initial order, that goes like this:

Taboo 0 - 50
Taboo 1 - 30
Taboo 2 - 20

I figured I'd need more 0's than the rest, since most people are going to start at the beginning of a series, especially if all they're gonna buy is one book.

SO, I know this is what I currently have right now as of 1/29/14:

I gave away 300-400 business cards with the free download
I gave away 50 postcards with all kinds of QR info on it
Taboo 0 - 34
Taboo 1 - 16
Taboo 2 - 10
Taboo 1 with Mistakes - 6

Now, I gave away this many for the panel:

Taboo 0 - 3
Taboo 1 - 2
Taboo 2 - 1

And I traded this amount with other vendors:

Taboo 0 - 3
Taboo 1 - 3
Taboo 2 - 3

Ultimately, I'm guessing that THIS is what I've actually sold while I was there, whether it be the full 10 dollars on Friday and Saturday, or 5 dollars on Sunday:

Taboo 0 - 10-20 (it's hard to tell, since I don't really know how much extra inventory I brought with me)
Taboo 1 - 9
Taboo 2 - 4

At least 4 of the Taboo 2's represent a full set (0, 1, and 2) bought all at the same time. Which means I sold at least 5 Taboo 1's either alone or in a set with 0.

The rest are all Taboo 0 sales.

So, there we go. Numbers everywhere! Somewhere between 21-31 books actually sold, 6 given away, 9 traded...but this equals to around 40 new eyes on the book, and I know of at least 5 that really enjoyed what they read thus far.

I dunno though...what do YOU guys think? Lemme know, yeah? Successful, or not?

Either way, I've got money for the next convention and even inventory, for all that I'll need to buy more.
