TAG, I'M IT!

SO, the lovely and talented Ella Dominguez just hit a nigga up~!  Since I've never really DONE a blog hop, I guess I'll take a stab at it now~?

SO, without further adieu:

1. What are you working on right now?
The Generalist - Taboo 4: Angle of the Angels.  This one's kinda "that one" for me - my very first write-up of the boys was the Battle at Brownstone segment, posted here waaaay back when.  Since then I've written four novellas, five really...and three short stories completed.  Now it's just a matter of editing them, getting the covers done, and getting a computer that can keep up with my hyper typing speed.

Pretty soon my entire crew is going to hate my guts, but on the plus side I'll be able to blog legitimately again all across the board.

Won't that be fun~?

2. How does it differ from other works in its genre?
It doesn't.  No, it really doesn't.

I'm not saying I'm formulaic, but you can pretty much guarantee that I'm going to write up some awesome scenes of over-the-top violence, vulgar displays of power, and people being badassed. There's always the chance that any of the main characters can die simply due to the high level of attacks and violence that's being committed - it's just the kind of stuff I write.

Killer 13 is a bit more straightforward in it's over-the-top, brutal violence but there's also a beautiful kind of...grace to it too.

 3. Why do you write what you do?
Why do I breathe?

Why are you asking me that question?

What are you, some kind of CIA spy?  You a government spy?

D:<

4. How does your writing process work?
I read recently that writers can be classified as engineers (drafting it out carefully and following the lines) or gardeners (loving attention, watering, feeding, gettin' dirty but lettin' it grow on it's own).

I'm honestly somewhere in between - I utilize skeletal structures and chapter overviews, then just go wild from there.  It's like I start drafting out this carefully-plotted thing...then just start drawing all over the whole damn thing when it's time to start writing.

I then go back to architect mode and make sure everything is good to go, sometimes ignoring details or whateverhaveyou from the initial designs or re-writing/writing in scenes to fill in plot holes and ensure that the flow of the storyline is up to my standard.

If it's all good, then I send it off to my editor (Adele Symonds - http://adelesproofreading.wordpress.com/) and bothering my cover artist Jade to gettin' stuff goin'. :D  She's usually already got shots done far before then, but it's all part of the process, y'know?

Anyway, I tag NO ONE because I'm at work and have to get this done. :3

Sincerely,

~That Bastard, writing as Thomas Duder
